riding high from her #1 Best-selling Book Tour, Laurie Curtis finishes
what she thinks is just another Talk Show appearance. As the sun goes
down and the shadows deepen, she heads home to enjoy what was supposed
to be a quiet, relaxing evening alone...but her night is anything but
peaceful! The
second installment in the Pray series almost sounds like an oxymoron
when you consider that this film has been billed as a Christian horror
film. The first reaction some people may have is to think that this film
will automatically be campy or cheesy. However, this couldn’t be
further from the truth. It is quite evident that the entire production
team has taken great pains to present a quality thriller. What
this film is not is your typical horror film. It isn’t filled with
buckets of blood and murders dreamed up by a twisted imagination. There
is no gratuitous violence or nudity. This film is a homage to Hitchcock,
HP Lovecraft and the plethora of radio dramas that used the most
powerful special effect available to instill terror into their audience:
the human mind. As Director Matt Mitchell put it, “what you
conceive in your mind is so much scarier that what I can show you on the
screen.” In fact, this film has earned a thumbs-up from The Dove Foundation. The second installment of the Pray series entitled, Pray 2 will be available on DVD on September 22nd along with it’s accompanying Bible Study guide. If you want to watch a GREAT film, go out and grab a copy of Pray 2 just in time for Holloween! For more
